"These Nameless Streets"   words and music by Fred Gillen Jr.

you took Johnny Walker red instead of a flashlight
on your walk down memory lane
and now you wonder why the pain is all that's left for your efforts
and why nothing can dull the shame
of the stain that you left on her white sheets
and the memory of your walk down her street
going anyplace in the world but home

these nameless streets
they don't seem to lead anyplace but back
trying to get out of town
you can't keep your feet so you go back
or you go down

the streets don't have names in this place for a reason
and their numbers don't add up to anything worth repeating
so you turned the car and you left town
thinking you'd be gone for good and you would have been
if the nightmares would have remained on those nameless streets
but they followed when you tried to leave

chorus

how far are you willing to go these days?
you used to go all the way
but it's a long way down memory lane
and there's no one left to take you back

Now johnny walker's left you for dead
and you're stuck down memory lane
with only the nightmares that you carried around
and there is no help to be found in this place
the phones are all dead and there's led in the paint
and you've taken all that you can take

chorus

"It Really Matters"   words and music by Matt Turk

Everybody wants to know
Everybody wants to find out
Everybody's wonderding how this whole thing will turn out
Are we going to do ourselves in?
Are we going to put ourselves out?
Are we going to help each other?
How will this thing turn out?

Does it really matter? How we treat each other?
Does it really matter? How we treat each other?

Few of us are born rich
Most of us are born poor
What's the most amazing thing is that we are born at all

Calling for a revolution
Crying for evolution
Compassion is the solution
Kindness the contribution

Does it really matter? How we treat each other?
Does it really matter? How we treat each other?

Everybody wants to know
Everybody's going to find out
Everybody's wonderding how this whole thing will turn out

Calling for a revolution
Crying for evolution
Compassion is the solution
Kindness the contribution

Does it really matter? How we treat each other?
Does it really matter? How we treat each other?
Does it really matter? How we treat each other?
Sisters, brothers, the earth our mother

"Black Hills"   words and music by Fred Gillen Jr.

In these hills there is a power you will never understand
you can carve your politicians faces in the land
but the earth is too strong to be stained by mortal man

Black Hills

I went down to the rez and saw our country's greatest shame
the cardboard shacks and broken glass of my people stripped of home and name
but the heart of these great warriors nothing you can do will change

Black Hills

at wounded knee I felt the force of thousands of brave souls
martyrs with no statues to them anonymous this hill they hold
biding their time in silence until their drums again will roll

Black Hills

it is in the darkness of their eyes that men get lost
the quest for gold can not out weigh the quest for truth without a cost
protect us oh Great Spirit help us seek the shining star

"Come Away With Me"   words and music by Matt Turk

I know deep inside how you move is so right for me
It's what you do, not what you say that makes me feel this way
It's what you do, not what you say that makes me feel this way

I was waiting like a candle, how you hit me, lit me, making me melt and burn.
I'm burning, yearning
Help me my lover, rush my love, and come quick
Come Away with Me

I was waiting, open vessel, how you fill me, thrill me, I'm overflowing with wine
It's what you do, not what you say that makes me feel this way
It's what you do, not what you say that makes me feel this way
I'm burning, yearning
Help me my lover, rush my love, and come quick
Come Away with Me

"Fall Down"   words and music by Fred Gillen Jr.

Malcolm said the chickens would
come to roost and now there's proof
the farce election hit home with
the dust in New York City
they heard the echoes ringing
in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan
but they're accustomed to the din
whereas we've lived in sin
we all fall down
we always hit the ground
some hit running some just hit
but we all fall down
I grabbed my gun and hit the street
'cause there's no glamour in retreat
false honor calls the sleeping
as prayer calls the righteous
the bombs arrived before the ink
had dried on any paper
paving the way for endless war
a one-way road
we all fall down
we always hit the ground
some hit running some just hit
but we all fall down
how far will we go before admitting our mistakes?
when the ashes of our brothers
make it hard to see our wake
the road we've paved leads us away
from fixing what we've broken
and now that path's not safe because of
the beast that we've awoken

"Takes Me Away"   words and music by Matt Turk

Morning comes the sunrise
See the ashes in the fire
Hope on the horizon today
Time to pick up and move
We have got to keep moving
For those whoıve come before & the price they pay

We are our brothers keeeper
Our sisters are our saviour

Your love takes me away,
It takes me away, takes me away

This day will be no different
Uncertain, unrepentant, disqualified parading by
Stadiums of press, the well dressed
Dancing to the music of war

We are our brothers keeper
Our sisters are our saviour

Your love takes me away,
It takes me away, takes me away

There are a lot of good liars out there
Running the government, speaking in the square
There are a lot of good people out here
Gunning for the government
Singing in the square

Putting meat on bones
Lusting for power
Status quo dancing to silent amnesty
Asking is one thing
Hearing is another
Hearing then answering, thatıs a miracle walk

We are our brothers keeeper
Our sisters are our saviour

Your love takes me away,
It takes me away, takes me a

"Peace Rant"   words and music by Steve Kirkman

We can stop these wars, if we really really try
We can stop these wars, if we really really try
Charter up the Peace train, get up on that train and ride

Get on that train and ride, ride it from sea to shining sea
Get on that train and ride, ride it from sea to shining sea
Stick your head out of the window, yell out to everyone you see

Yell out to everyone you see, united we all stand
Yell out to everyone you see, united we all stand
Stop tryin to own the whole dang world, this land is everybodys land

This land is everybodys land, Woody Guthrie he said that
This land is everybodys land, Woody Guthrie he said that
I will fight no more forever, Chief Joseph he said that

Chief Joseph he said that, I ainıt gonna fight no more
Chief Joseph he said that, I ainıt gonna fight no more
Well if the Indians were fightin for freedom, what the heck have we been fightin for

What the heck have we been fightin for, on some far off distant soil
What the heck have we been fightin for, on some far off distant soil
Was it mass destruction weapons, Democracy, payback, or was it oil

We can stop these wars, if we really really try
We can stop these wars, if we really really try
The peace train is a free train, so everybody gets to ride

"Satchmo"   words and music by Matt Turk

Itıs a cold night in December to be hunched over with the chills
Nothing but cold breath and taxis that are filled
Busy tourists in transit the lucky horse drawn
Wyntonıs big showıs inside, out hereıs a more important one going on

Heading to Curtisı cutting through Columbus Circle
Bebo knows where Mamaıs taking them,
Dealers of justice know itıs a good business
& if one of these kids is Satchmo, how will we ever know?
& if one of these kids is Satchmo, how will we ever know?

Across the street the divorce bombshell is out at home in heat with Joey punch clock,
A dead man running is all he is, taxed out on an unfair field
Washed up about a block from home
Debbieıs big show is on
And her man is noticeably gone

On my way to Curtisı, buses lined up
Debbie knows Johnny Lawıs taken her papi
Dealers of justice know it is a good business
& if one of these kids is Satchmo, how will we ever know?
& if one of these kids is Satchmo, how will we ever know?

Debbieıs a beauty without borders, a whole package stuck in a jam
Doing biz thatıs bloodless,
She meets Joey in the meadow in the grass
Joey puts his money on faith in the eighth

Then all his burden lifts
Under blue skies in Central Park you cash out early
I was on my way from Curtisı, cutting through that park
I met Rhonda and we had our own dogmatic jam
Bebo and his mom need a C note and a tune
Some luck and divine intervention, a break from the ruin

These children are growing without their father
These wives are living without their husbands
Still From the penthouse you overlook the park
Trees look permanent and you know theyıre not

& if one of these kids is Satchmo, how will we ever know?
& if one of these kids is Satchmo, how will we ever know?

"Killing Machine"   words and music by Fred Gillen Jr.

They decorated me ceremoniously, the governor was there and 3 generals too
I got my medals, I was on TV, but now what am I supposed to do?
Œcause there is no job for a killing machine back here in civilization
the army said theyıd train me and give me a skill,
then they gave me a gun and sent me to kill
and now Iım home, but there is no home
for a newly retired killing machine

and nobody wants to hear my story
now the war is over and they want to forget
but how can I forget the people I killed and the friends Iıve lost?

So I walked into my bar unceremoniously, I was a regular here not so long ago
But now to some Iım a bit of a celebrity and to the rest Iım just a jar-head, a G.I. Joe
I buy a couple rounds but it ainıt the same, Iıll never again be one of the guys
So I sit at home and watch TV and try to forget what I know I canıt
Thereıs no escape, and no reprieve
For a newly unemployed killing machine

and nobody wants to hear my story
now the war is over and they want to forget
but how can I forget the people I killed and the friends Iıve lost?

They arrested me ceremoniously, they read me my rights like a reading at a mass
Iıll get 3 square meals and an orange jumpsuit,
but at least I will no longer be out on my ass
Iıll make dog-tags and license plates- the irony, Iıll take orders again like I did before
They say I can take classes and learn a trade, Iıll lift weights and drink cool aid
But thereıs no honor to be had in this place
For a newly incarcerated killing machine

and nobody wants to hear my story
now the war is over and they want to forget
but how can I forget the people I killed and the friends Iıve lost?

"Three"   words and music by Fred Gillen Jr. and Matt Turk

Oftentimes the voice of truth is silence
through the clamour and hussle
for power and glory
a stillness arises
unremarked by the masses
struggling to survive
but the truth is not a luxury
it will be known in time
if no one listens it will bite
if the bite is ignored
infection occurs
amputation ensues
by doctor or guilotine
poison is removed
or death takes all
winners losers
the evil and the righteous
truth is ultimate authority
a gram weighs a gram
a mile is a mile
one plus one equals two
no matter how many
television sets say three
you believe your government lies to you
and you're weary of war

"Backs to the Wall"   words and music by Matt Turk

Run along the river, see the cliffs cascading towards the sun
The Red Woman sets like a pearl, weıre all undone
Daylightıs disappearing, Shadows grow long

Our backs to the wall
Our backs to the wall

Walk along the river, weıll make this wasteland a park
The companies sold, the factories closed, the lightıs are long dark.
Children, friends and families
Our backs to the wall
Our backs to the wall

Into life we laugh and sing and fall apart
All through life we dream of making a new start
With our backıs to the wall
Our backs to the wall

Madness and chaos, misinform on mediaıs way
Hatred thatıs too easy and a fear that keeps you in your place
Empathy for our enemy
Their backs to the wall
Our backs to the wall

Into life we laugh and sing and fall apart
All through life we dream of making a new start
With our backs to the wall
Our backs to the wall

"This Town is our Song"   words and music by Fred Gillen Jr.

Right over there is the chair where we sat
in the coffee shop that night we met
the hill that we walked up and the way back down
are our neighborhood now
we fell in love all around this town
so it's wonderful living here now
some couples have a song which they call their song
this town is our song

there's the bookstore where I bought you that book
songs of innocence for the darkness you took
away from my eyes to be banished for good
and now again I see light
we fell in love all around this town
so it's wonderful living here now
some couples have a song which they call their song
this town is our song

of course I don't know if it will last forever
but then again I must admit I never
dreamed that this town could look so beautiful
as it does since we fell in love here
we fell in love all around this town
so it's wonderful living here now
some couples have a song which they call their song
this town is our song

and now some of our neighbors are people who stared
as I nervously ran my fingers through your hair
in front of the theatre where we saw Casablanca with our blanket
'cause the heat needed repair
we fell in love all around this town
so it's wonderful living here now
some couples have a song which they call their song
this town is our song
